#GoodNewsAwakening
In case you missed it…
I want to share some good news that I have found from our #GoodNewsAwakening sources. These good news stories bring hope with them. Remember, the challenge for this year is to spread “good news” to counter people’s “natural” obsession with bad news.

Sustainability
As many of you know, or can guess, I am passionate about honoring our environment – earth, water, sky. It appears the tipping point has taken place with powerful people listening to the will of the populace. According to an article by Andrew Ross Sorkin in the New York Times on January 14, 2020 — the CEO of BlackRock, the largest investment firm in the world, announced that “his firm would make investment decisions with environmental sustainability as a core goal.” This is a game changer. Check out the full article at BlackRock C.E.O. Larry Fink: Climate Crisis Will Reshape Finance that I found through Future Crunch.
Save Food
There’s evidence that supermarkets and restaurants will be throwing away less food in the future. That too is great news. According to the United Nations SAVE FOOD: Global Initiative on Food Loss and Waste Reduction, one-third of all food produced for human consumption is wasted. Check out the Good News Network article by Andy Corbley published on Feb 9, 2020 at German Supermarket Saves Over 2,000 Tons of Food By Reselling Items Other Stores Won’t. Corbley shares what countries around the world are doing to save food.
