April 2026 Newsletter – some scientific advances in medicine

2026/10/21

We finally have had a few really beautiful warm days and, looking at my garden with all the plants poking up out of the soil, I am really excited. Spring is my favourite time of year. I have already planted my bowl of pansies and am enjoying them whenever I look out the window. Looking Ahead in Science and Medicine This month, I’ve run across a number of very interesting articles about advances being made in science and medicine that… Read more »

The Power of “Groups”

2024/05/11

The Power of Group Consciousness. I came across an update on the Heart Math Global Consciousness project. Heart Math has placed a network of random number generators worldwide that collect continuous data from the Earth’s magnetic field. They have been monitoring the data for 25 years. I remember first reading about the generators around the time of 9/11 and being amazed when so many people expressed shock at what had happened. When a shared consciousness exists, the random number generators… Read more »

The Physics of God: How the Deepest Theories of Science Explain Religion and How the Deepest Truths of Religion Explain Science by Joseph Selbie | New Page Books (October 1, 2021) 2nd Edition I found The Physics of God by Joseph Selbie completely fascinating. The book addresses how the science of religion and the modern (quantum physics) science of reality are fully congruent with one another. His writing style is easy to read and understand. The examples he gives… Read more »

The Natural Order of Life

2022/10/03

The Natural Order of Life In the animal world, we see it all the time – other animals adopt or care for another species. On Facebook and other social media sites you will find dogs befriending cats, cats befriending birds, and even a frog befriending a snail. These “odd couples” care about each other in spite of their differences. I’ve seen pictures of a heard of water buffalo accepting an orphaned elephant as one of their own. Indigenous peoples also have… Read more »

A life that saves the World

Try to live a life that saves the Earth You might be interested in Charles Eisenstein. “When I understand that my very existence at its core is part of the existence of each ecosystem and species around the world, then I know that whatever happens to them is in a way happening to me.” A client introduced me to this philosopher, author, and historian by recommending the documentary The Music Played the Band. I highly recommend you watch it. … Read more »

Original Wisdom Stories of an Ancient Way of Knowing By Robert Wolff Inner Traditions (August 1, 2001) Although Robert Wolff published Original Wisdom: Stories of an Ancient Way of Knowing twenty years ago, it’s a wonderful book. Survival of the Kindest

2020/07/10

We are living in a time of great uncertainty. It’s also a time of immense opportunity for us to begin to live a more meaningful life. In my lifetime I think back to my parents and what the world was like back then. Just before the second world war began, they escaped from Nazi Germany and individually moved to South Africa. We are Jewish. Most of our relatives died during Hitler and his Nazi reign. It was a time of… Read more »

Book Review: Children’s Past Lives

2020/06/05

Children’s Past Lives How Past Life Memories Affect Your Child by Carol Bowman Element Books Ltd (1997) When Carol Bowman released her book in 1997, it proved to be quite controversial. It was the first of its kind to explore reincarnation with children. Her life-long belief in reincarnation helped prepare her for the journey into a fascinating world that inspired her to write Children’s Past Lives: How Past Life Memories Affect Your Child. The book is both memoir and instructional… Read more »
