The Power of Group Consciousness.
I came across an update on the Heart Math Global Consciousness project. Heart Math has placed a network of random number generators worldwide that collect continuous data from the Earth’s magnetic field. They have been monitoring the data for 25 years.
I remember first reading about the generators around the time of 9/11 and being amazed when so many people expressed shock at what had happened. When a shared consciousness exists, the random number generators spew out non-random numbers. The same readings happened before, during, and after the 2011 Tsunami in Japan.
Wave of consciousness
Another of their analysis showed a “wave of consciousness” appeared in the random number generators a few minutes before and a few minutes after midnight on New Year’s Eve — in each time zone! In other words, the output from the random number generators stops being random around midnight on New Year’s Eve. To me, this shows our collective feelings of hope for the new year to come.
After 25 years of research, Heart Math concluded that “when we act together, even if it just involves focusing our attention on a celebration, we can change the world.”

It’s all fascinating. You can learn more about Heart Math’s Global Consciousness project at Unveiling the Global Consciousness Project 2.0: A Journey Towards Unity and Understanding.
I introduced Heart Math’s random number generators to you in my book review of “Heart Intelligence: Connecting with the intuitive guidance of the heart.” Excellent book – very uplifting and optimistic. I highly recommend you read it.
Meditating in Groups.
I have previously mentioned the meditation experiments at Maharishi University in Fairfield, Iowa, conducted in several urban areas in the U.S.A. from 2007 to 2010.
The results, with 1,725 participants practicing transcendental meditation, were significant. Murder, homicides, motor vehicle accidents, and drug-related deaths were all reduced during this time. Many analyses have been done since then to confirm the results.
The research authors have invited governments to evaluate this scientific study on using meditation to reduce violence and negative trends in society. We can only hope governments investigate this further.
More information about this study can be found in Field Effects of Consciousness and Reduction in U.S. Urban Murder Rates: Evaluation of a Prospective Quasi-Experiment. I also wrote about groups meditating in Help Us Build Peace on Earth.
Remember
Together we can change the world.
